Event Policies

Tickets

Each ticket serves as an entry for the person whose name was used during the registration process. Please be sure to update the ticket order if there is a change in attendees, failure to do so may result in a guest’s inability to attend the event. Ticket information may be updated by clicking on your order details on the Eventbrite Tickets Page. Detailed instructions on updating your ticket information can be found here.

We validate membership details when individuals indicate they belong to AMA New York. If you purchased an AMA New York ticket type and are not a current member of our organization, you will be contacted regarding entry fees.

Ticket transfer requests will be honored up to 3 business days before the listed event start date. Please email events@amanewyork.org to initiate a ticket transfer.

Refund requests will be honored up to 7 days before the listed start date.

Venues
Event spaces will not open or be accessible until the listed event start time. Most of our venues do not have a lounge, cafe, or waiting area, so please schedule arrivals accordingly.
Communications

Order Confirmations are sent electronically from orders@eventbrite.com. Updates and vital event details are shared with registered guests via noreply@eventbrite.com and events@amanewyork.org. Please be sure to add these email accounts to your “safe senders” list or address book to ensure message receipt.

 

Event registrants are added to the AMA New York mailing list so information about upcoming AMA New York events may be shared. You can click on the “unsubscribe” link in our communications to be taken off this mailing list.

 

We share the contact details provided by event registrants with that event’s sponsor. If you do not wish to receive sponsor emails, please indicate your preference by selecting “No” to the question “Would you like to receive emails from (our sponsor)?” This preference can be changed after registration, instructions can be found here.

Photography

Events may be photographed and/or video recorded for advertising, publicity, commercial, or other business purposes of the American Marketing Association New York (AMA New York) and our event sponsors. While attending, you may be photographed, video recorded, and/or recordings of your voice may be made.

 

Event pictures are frequently posted on our Facebook Page here. Feel free to tag yourself and anyone you recognize. If you haven’t already, please “follow” us!

Event Materials

When available, we share materials from events, like presentations, in the resources section of our site and on the event’s post.

 

If you are interested in a presentation from a previous event but do not see it on our site, feel free to email us at events@amanewyork.org for additional information.
