Event Manager will lead and manage the execution of a chosen event from start to finish. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the team to determine the programming of the AMA New York and drive both, the strategic and tactical execution of each event. Tasks include:

  • Generating themes and ideas for the two event subcategories: Strategic (Executive/Sr Marketing events with a speaker/panel) & Networking (events targeted towards professionals, seeking to expand their network)
  • Event Promotion — generate interest in Strategic events through direct contact with the marketing community; promote the sharing of invites; obtain commitment/registration
  • Assist with the development of marketing plans for events (appr. once each quarter)
  • Working with the Sponsorship Manager and providing support in securing a sponsor: Ensuring the Sponsorship Manager knows event details in order to better customize individual sponsorship packages and pitch relevant companies
  • Researching suitable companies to reach out to for sponsorship opportunities in conjunction with the Sponsorship Manager
  • Working with a sponsor/host on reserving an event space and food & beverage that fit within an allocated budget
  • Coordinating with our professional staff to develop a sponsorship agreement for an event and ensure that both, AMA New York and sponsor, meet the conditions
