Bahriye Goren

Clinical Associate Professor of Marketing
New York University
Bahriye is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Marketing at New York University, where she launched and leads the Executive Master’s in Marketing and Strategic Communications degree program. Before joining NYU, Bahriye was a faculty director and taught at the University of Colorado in Boulder’s Leeds School of Business as well as Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business in their Executive MBA, MS and undergraduate programs in New York, Singapore and Taiwan. Her research interests include consciousness, leadership, AI and inclusive design thinking and innovation.
Before joining academia, Bahriye has held leadership positions in marketing, strategy and innovation at Unilever, Kantar and Wallace Church & Co. Former clients include Weleda, American Express, Unilever, Sony Corp. and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. She particularly enjoys working with social-impact driven brand leaders in both for and non-profit.
As a thought leader, Bahriye regularly speaks at conferences and company retreats, and loves to facilitate team sessions, especially around authentic leadership and strategy development. She is a firm believer of the quote by poet Hafez “Even after all this time, the sun never says to the earth, ‘You owe me.’ Look what happens with a love like that. It lights the whole sky.’ Bahriye lives in New York with her husband, two children and two fur babies.
