Ever wonder what goes into the social media strategy of a Major League Baseball team? Will Carafello has been Senior Director of Mets Social Media for over five years and on June 13th he will share the unique challenges facing the Mets as they try to reach their fans and followers on social media.

Will is responsible for working collaboratively across the organization to oversee the Mets social media efforts. Previously, he was Director of Marketing for the New Jersey Devils. While there, Will was instrumental in the creation of “Mission Control,” the first digital command center within the sports and entertainment industry. He successfully guided the growth of the team’s social media engagement, an achievement realized via the Devils #1 Klout score in the NHL.
Will has spent over a decade in the sports and entertainment industry in marketing roles across venues, arenas and professional sports teams. He was an integral part of the pioneering team that opened the Prudential Center in 2007. Will has also garnered experience from roles within the Meadowlands Sports Complex (Continental Airlines Arena and Giants Stadium), and Madison Square Garden. He was previously the Marketing Director for the Harlem Globetrotters.
